Over a year and three collections into her tenure at Azhand Shokohi, the fifties have become Azhand’s decade, soft femininity silhouettes, with its longer skirts, fitted waist, and rounded shoulders. She is a designer on the upswing. It seems with her oversize shapes, crisp pants and tailored suits still catching the 50s silhouettes in the latest designs by this new trendsetter. Pushing the boundaries is apparent with a strong look and her dress making techniques. She is showcasing a little masculinity in this collection as well. Menswear-influenced, wide belts at the waist, cuffed styles, feminine sleeves and old-Hollywood glamour are apparent in her fall 2012 collection. Azhand Shokohi brand started in 2010 and since her collections have been featured in media around the world such as Notjustalabel.com (London), Fashion156.com (London), Examiner.com NYC, Dstripped Mag (CA), Design Milk Mag and Trend Hunter (Canada) to name a few.
